    Pupils from St Benedict's School in Ealing joined the internationally acclaimed vocal ensemble Voces8 for a thrilling concert on Tuesday, 19th January. The audience in a packed Ealing Abbey enjoyed a delightful tour of a cappella singing, including well known motets, folk songs and a stylish jazz set. Year 5 pupils from North Ealing, Christ the Saviour and Mount Carmel primary schools joined St Benedict's Junior School children for two rousing sea shanties including an energetic eight part canon with actions.

Matisse inspires pupil’s stained glass window

Eleven year old Olin Davies (Year 7) has produced the winning entry in the competition for the design of a stained glass window for the new Senior School Chapel at St Benedict's, Ealing. Over a hundred pupils entered the competition, which was judged by a local stained glass artist – Sophie D'Souza – who will make the winning entry into the final window.

The workings of Parliament

     On the afternoon of Friday 12th June, eighteen Lower Fifth pupils visited Parliament and Downing Street. Before having a tour of Parliament, the group had a question and answer session with the recently elected Rupa Huq MP (Labour, Ealing Central and Acton) and the long-established Steve Pound MP (North Ealing). Ms Huq talked about the recent election campaign whilst Mr Pound made a passionate defence of Britain's place in the European Union. After the meeting the pupils learnt about the history of Parliament and some of the mechanics of day-to-day politics in both the House of Commons and House of Lords.
