All independent schools can contribute news, features and jobs to Attain. News and jobs need to be submitted via our Pressburst system – a unique communications platform which is used by hundreds of schools to share their latest stories and vacancies. Editorial features are chosen entirely on merit – please see further details of our policy and process for submission below.
All articles published by Attain are chosen entirely on merit. We are looking for quirky, unusual and interesting features which will help parents.
Attain is proud of its very strong editorial policy. It lies at the heart of our ethos as a publisher who provides honest, reliable and authoritative content. No advertiser can pay to include editorial content with Attain and we only choose features based on their merits. We do not accept any submissions from PR agencies or consultants, run promotional or advertising features – nor do we offer reviews, lifestyle features promoting holidays or events and any other kind of promotional activity. Attain is different and we are proud to be different.
How do schools provide editorial?
Feature articles are normally written by Heads and we ask for a skeleton-outline of the idea first. This should be in bullet-point form and we can then review and see if it is a topic which will work well in Attain. We cannot include articles which have already been published externally.
N.B. We cannot accept any editorial which is in any way promotional or on a topic which indirectly promotes a school. Topics should be those which appeal to parents anywhere in the UK, regardless of school, and discuss a particular educational theme or parenting issue. How do schools submit news?
We do not accept press releases at Attain. All news must be uploaded via Pressburst – an online communications platform we developed for independent schools to manage their news, jobs and events. Since Pressburst was first launched, it has been adopted by over half of UK independent schools. It was developed in partnership with ISC (the Independent Schools Council) and the Associations, including IAPS, GSA, HMC and The Society of Heads. Find out more about Pressburst.
How do schools upload job vacancies?
All job vacancies are uploaded via our Pressburst system. Pressburst makes listing and managing job vacancies very inexpensive. You can quickly and easily upload all the information, choosing when to start promoting the job. The vacancy is listed on a number of exclusive channel partner job portals relevant to your organisation including ISC, HMC, GSA, IAPS and the Society of Heads, as well as Attain.
