Congratulations to Talbot Heath school’s Sixth Form pianist, Lella Lam, who has gained an ATCL (Associate of Trinity College London) performance Diploma at the age of 17. For her Diploma Recital Lella chose a challenging programme of pieces: two Scarlatti sonatas, a Mozart sonata, a Brahm’s Intermezzo and some Debussy, and she gained the highest mark band of Distinction. Lella plays beautifully and is always a delight to hear; she is a regular performer in the school concerts and can be heard in the Music School practising every day after school. On hearing the news of her success Lella said: 'I am very pleased to have been awarded this Diploma; it makes all the hours of practising worthwhile.'

Well done Lella – an amazing achievement!
