As part of an exciting creative collaboration, a group of Blackheath High School Art students are showcasing their artwork in a special exhibition at the Farrow & Ball Blackheath showroom between 13-28 January 2018.
Using paints and materials kindly donated by Farrow & Ball, the 11 students from Years 7-13 have created very individual pieces of art in response to the theme ‘SE3: Surfaces and Structures’ for display.
Creating artwork using unconventional materials, the students have taken inspiration from various elements such as the local landscape, architectural shapes and close-up views of decaying surfaces.
The collection of work is available to view at the Farrow & Ball Blackheath showroom for a two-week period before going on display at Blackheath High School later in the year.
This is the first time that the Farrow & Ball Blackheath showroom has hosted an art exhibition.
Mr Branch, Head of Art, said: “This collaboration gives some of our most talented artists an opportunity to showcase their work and forge links with business within our local community.
“Farrow & Ball were really keen to be involved and have been incredibly supportive as we have worked towards this exhibition. The students involved are really excited as, for most, this will be the first time that something that they have created will be on public display outside of school."
