27th November 2019 — Spratton Hall School was delighted to host three local schools: East Haddon Primary, Guilsborough C of E Primary and The Bramptons Primary, for a Vocal Music Day last week. Pupils from these schools joined members of Spratton Hall’s Year 5 Choir and spent the day learning a selection of much-loved songs including some from Mary Poppins.

The singers were directed by Mr Barry Clark, who now teaches piano, singing and music theory at Spratton Hall. Having studied at the Royal Academy of Music, Mr Clark spent thirty years as Head of Music at several prestigious schools, before competing nationally and internationally with his choirs, orchestras and bands, winning numerous awards along the way.

After an enjoyable day’s singing and making new friends, the children entertained their parents with a concert in the school’s Hunter Hall theatre and enjoyed rapturous applause for their efforts.
