15th March 2019 — This term students in Years 7 and 8 were given the opportunity to build, paint and race their own remote control cars in the RC Cars STEM activity session with Mr Acton.

The students have thoroughly enjoyed themselves and have been making good use of their time in hobbies and break to complete their builds. This has been a real challenge for lots of the students, but the leadership, teamwork and problem-solving skills they have demonstrated over the past few months has been a pleasure to observe.

As part of Science week, Mr Webster kindly organised a special charity race for students on Friday to help raise funds for this year’s Comic relief event. Great learning and great fun!!

In total, £820 was raised for this worthy cause.
