Connor, who also enjoyed a superb season of rowing with the Bedford School 1st VIII, competed in the GB Men’s VIII at the World Rowing Junior Championships, held at the Labe Arena Racice, Czech Republic.

Connor and the crew started strongly and led the race by a canvas at the 500m mark. With the USA hot on their tail, the team really had to dig deep to hold off the Americans’ sprint. It was a closely fought race but it was Team GB who crossed the line first to take the gold.
