Four high-flying gymnasts at Monmouth School Boys’ Prep have bounced into the finals of a national trampoline competition.

Gabriel Brockley, Feargus Cripwell, Neil Lawler and Oscar Searle have qualified for the team event at the BSGA (British Schools Gymnastics Association) National Schools Trampoline finals next month.

The quartet will be representing the Central zone, which includes trampolinists from Wales, West Midlands, East Midlands and Eastern regions in Cannock, Staffordshire, on Saturday 2nd March.

The Monmouth pupils have moved up a level to intermediate after finishing third in the novice section at the national finals in Northern Ireland last year.

And the four Monmouth boys rose to their new challenge, securing first place in the team event above Whitehill, who took the title last year.

Fellow Monmouth School Boys’ Prep gymnast, Rupert Rowell, bounced in a different category and finished a creditable fifth place in his qualifying event.
