A superb afternoon of very competitive football saw over 180 girls take part in the tournament. The St Aubyn’s lionesses won all three group matches comfortably. A 3-0 semi-final win led to them playing a strong Gatehouse School in the final, which they won 2-0. They will now play in the National Finals on 25th June at St. George's Park.

Goalkeeper Hazel said “after playing in the National Finals last year and reaching the semi- final stage this year, we are really looking forward to going back and trying to progress one step further”.

Football came home on 22 May when St Aubyn’s was delighted to host the U13 ISFA South Central tournament.

The St Aubyn’s U13 girls played exceptionally well, constantly battling for the ball but struggled to score. They had three draws and a defeat on the day but only conceded one goal all day to the eventual winners.

Teacher Miss Gamble praised the squad’s dedication, “all the girls have improved so much this season and are hoping to draw more inspiration from the Women’s World Cup this summer”.
