17th November 2017 — Moorlands School is the oldest prep school in Leeds and was founded in 1898.  Fifty years ago it moved to its current beautiful site at Foxhills and when the opportunity arose to raise funds for the NSPCC, the Student Voice thought that this was a great link to make.

They challenged our Reception class to mix 50 colours to paint a ‘Rainbow 50’; Key Stage 1 to ‘bob’ 50 apples; Years 3 and 4 to complete 50 shuttle runs and Years 5 and 6, to put 50 socks on in 5 minutes! There was also a serious side to all of this and pupils took part in assemblies and workshops, delivered by the NSPCC, as part of their ‘Speak Out, Stay Safe’ programme.

Family and friends sponsored the children, and the astounding total of £2072.42 was raised!
